Abstract:

Some recent topics on possible chiral restoration in nuclear media are reviewd: The topics include spectral changes in the scalar- and vector-meson channels, and anomalous $\pi$-nucler repulsion seen in deeply bound pionic nuclei. Possible roles of chiral symmtery in the baryon sector are alsso discussed. We introduce the recet proposal by Akaishi and Yamazaki to use a kaon as a contracter of nuclei. If there is a time, some comments are also given on color superconductivity as a strong coupling superconductor.
