Finite Density QCD
This is the first announcement of a workshop ``Finite Density QCD'' to be held on July 10-12, 2003 in Nara, Japan.
QCD (Quantum Chromodynamics) is expected to have a rich structure in extreme environments characterized by temperature and density. QCD at finite baryon density has attracted much interest in the field of high-energy physics, nuclear physics and astrophysics, and in recent years there have been many prominent activities based on phenomenology, lattice QCD, low-energy effective models, high-density effective models and other non-perturbative approaches.
The aim of the workshop is to bring together experts in relevant fields, in an active working environment and friendly atmosphere, to exchange ideas in order to boost this important and growing area of physics. The number of participants is limited to fifty and all talks will be presented in one seminar room. Proceedings of the workshop will be published.
The workshop is to be held in the heart of Japan's oldest city, Nara.
Nara is near Kyoto and Osaka, and there is a limousine bus which runs
from Kansai International Airport to Nara. Individuals interested in
participating in the workshop are kindly asked to send a mail to
fdqcd@riise.hiroshima-u.ac.jp
Information on the workshop, including transportation and
arrangement for accommodation, will be posted on the web site:
